Introduction to Whitestone

Whitestone's innovative use of AI for dental analysis aims to address a significant healthcare gap, as nearly one-third of Canadians went a year without seeing the dentist. Our application combines GPT4-TurboAPI and MediaPipe to analyze dental health efficiently.

How It Works

By scanning the face to determine if the mouth is open, our system captures essential dental data in real-time, leveraging AI to offer actionable insights into dental health issues. We chose React and Next.js for their robustness and reliability, creating a seamless user experience, including also light and dark mode according to the user's system preferences.

Design and Technology

The integration of Tailwind Merge ensures a responsive and visually appealing interface. By utilizing these cutting-edge technologies, we ensure that our application not only performs well but is also accessible on various devices, promoting wider accessibility and usability.

Project Impact

This project was a collaborative effort over a semester, culminating in a presentation to the president of BCIT, the mayor of Vancouver and Burnaby, and other students. It represents not just a technological achievement but also a significant educational journey, emphasizing our commitment to innovative solutions and community health advancements.
